What We Believe

We believe that the Holy Bible is the written word of God given to us by Godly Inspired, Holy Men, writing under the direction of God.  We also believe that this same God is the Creator and maker of all things, both in heaven and in earth.

Further, we believe that God is indeed a God of love and that he desires for no man to perish, but that all men should submit to the teachings of the Bible.

We believe that God gave man direction at different times and in a diversity of ways, but in these later days, he is speaking and giving direction to man by his only begotten son, Jesus Christ.

We do believe and proclaim that this same Jesus Christ of Nazareth is both Lord and Savior of the world; and that through his name, Salvation (deliverance from sin) and eternal life is available to all men.  For all men have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and need the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Further, we do believe that to receive eternal life, one must believe and become obedient to the gospel of Jesus Christ, which requires all men to repent and be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit giveth the utterance(Acts 2:4), followed by a Christ like life of sanctification and Holiness.

We believe that this process constitutes the new birth spoken of in John 3:1-5 and the Acts of the Apostles 2:38.

John     John 3:1 -5    1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Jesus said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old?  Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born f water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts      Acts 2:38     38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
